Scrolling on lemmy.world gets confusing when new posts are added to the page periodically. I prefer content remaining static until I refresh. Is there a way to configure that?

I don’t want to be mean, but this has been asked SO many times in the past few days. A quick search will bring up several threads with answers.

Keep in mind that the Android App, Jerboa, doesn’t have search functionality yet.

The refresh issue doesn’t seem to exist in the Jerboa app. Just pointing out that App users may not be able to search for previous threads as easily. I can’t tell if the iOS app Mlem has search, but the question of whether it has search has been asked multiple times and was mostly unanswered.

            Mlem doesn’t either.

But, then, the user who had this refresh issue was using the web version, which does have search.

I was just personally annoyed cuz I tried to help many people here and it sucks repeating yourself when the info is out there. Of course, it’s okay to ask if you don’t understand, though.

Assuming the content is not on a community that hasn’t been discovered by your instance yet, then you can just use the search button on the top right. You have filters for posts / comments / communities / etc. You can also search on a specific community only.
