Every day I feel like the world will colapse. No freedom of expression. Companies want to control each aspect of our lives. I don’t want to rely on discord, meta, microsoft and google…
Nobody from the mainstream cares about freedom as long as they get their fix.
Not to mention how the environment suffers from this…

People using whatever they want on their devices. Everything converges into one of everything (eg. Chrome). Yes calling that lack of freedom of expression is a bit of a stretch but when you comsider how much reliance people have on this software, it becomes clear that people don’t have much freedom of using whatever they want to fulfill an ethical consumption lifestyle. Everything is locked down and nobody cares… That is a problem.
Chrome is optional, Firefox is faster, there’s still the entire proprietary Apple ecosystem competitor, and completely usable privacy-respecting Linux phones also exist: https://www.pine64.org/pinephonepro/

I can’t think of any reason to rely on Chrome, except perhaps laziness.
I don’t rely on Chrome… It is just that i am scared of being forced to use it… I already use linux and firefox and privacy respecting alternatives… I just don’t want to be forced to give up these things…
