I assumed the IHD was receiving data from the meters and pushing it to the account, is that not how it works?
minus-square@wewbull@feddit.uklinkfedilinkEnglish3•edit-211 months agoNo, the meters communicate directly over a mesh network setup between neighbouring meters. I think somewhere they’ll be a cell tower connection or something. The IHD is solely for you to look at, or not.
If it’s just the IHD with problems, don’t worry about it. Mine is in a drawer somewhere. It doesn’t do anything.
