And 2x the price of a good Samsung tablet that can also do remote play. Plus more functionality.

I’ve played on a tablet, and I would prefer to have a proper controller.

You can pair a PS4 dual shock or PS5 dual sense with an iPad or MacBook (or, indeed, iPhone) and use the PS Remote Play app with it. I was doing this earlier today in fact. Works pretty well.

Yea same. Also I’ve checked on my MacBook yesterday and the highest selectable quality is 720p. Having 1080p in a comfortable device I can easily lay on the couch with … why are people against it so much? It’s awesome, and cheap lol

I think for me the issue is the price and the niche usecase. I could just prop my laptop/tablet up and use remote play, if they expanded remote play to do this same thing. So it feels like for the price, we’re getting a device that is a Frankenstein of a controller and tablet, but can only be used for streaming PS5 games locally. Feels like something that will have zero resale value too, ya know? So it’s just the value proposition for me.

You can use a proper controller with a tablet as of Android 11 I think it was, maybe 12? Just connect it with a cable.
