You think a game in development for 5+ years is a rush job? I’m sure there was pressure toward the end to release. But, valling it a rush job is a little over the top.

Our expectations for games has become untenable, and then we bitch about why companies add loot boxes to games. This is why.

No they add loot boxes cause they are slimy. 5 years IS a rush job if the game is bad. It’s like the classic example of someone claiming they spent 8 hours shading someone’s lip in a drawing so they should be given top dollar for it but the drawings still looks bad.

have we played the same game?

shitty managed projects run over into rushed products all the time

and expecting a AAA to be better optimized is nor untenable lol

you want to give it a pass fine but this whole industry releasing crap to have the user base beta stuff is pathetic

bugs like changing ship design wiping inventory is pathetic making it to release

No, I’m not giving it a pass. I’ve just worked in software for more than 5 minutes, and I know how difficult this stuff is to get right.

i do it for a living as well

i’d be fired for releasing bugs to a customer as games do

this issue is given a major pass in the game iandustry
