They messed up the draw for the pools. The four in form “semifinal” teams met in the quarters.
Yeah, it’s too bad. Every QF was electric, which is great, but It really feels like France and Ireland should be in the semis
I was thinking about that some more. I’ve been a bit anti the draw in the past because it was so lopsided. But; there’s something to be said for doing the draw at least 2 years out. It makes test matches in the first 2 years of a World Cup cycle mean more. We want the tier 1 teams to try to be the best in the world all the time, not just from 18 months out from a World Cup.
Absolutely, watching the two games on Sunday it was like South Africa and France were playing a different sport
