The official app deserves 1-star regardless of the API shutdown. Even Jerboa and other Lemmy apps in their extremely buggy alpha state have a better user experience than the official Reddit app.

For a multimillion dollar company, their app sure is shittier and buggier than 3rd party apps maintained by single devs. It lacks absolute basic features like text formatting shortcuts with Bold/Italics/Quote/List/etc options that should pop up over the keyboard while typing. Every 3rd party app I’ve used has had that.
