I tried Opensuse, I didn’t like it. It sort of felt just a bit off and I think a large majority of that was Yast’s fault.
Debian and Arch based distros I think will remain my preference for some time given the recent events.
I think I’m with you. I have very smart friends who swear by tumbleweed though. I’m personally using Debian bases for work, and a mix of Arch and NixOS at home.

In my case I was ecosystem’d into RPM and Flatpak, so openSUSE makes me happy
