Hungry ticks have some slick tricks. They can zoom through the air using static electricity to latch onto people, pets and other animals, new research shows.
Ticks were never an issue where I live until a few yrs ago, and then when I started seeing comments about people needing to check their cracks on reddit, I thought it was a joke. Big surprise to me when my partner said we needed to check ALL our creases.
I pretty much thought they were an American/continental Europe/Asia thing, I hadn’t really heard of them being a risk in the UK prior to seeing it on my GF. I only thought they were a risk in areas with high deer populations, which I don’t exactly have in my back garden.
