In case anyone wanted the non-beta or couldn’t get in because TestFlight was full, this just popped in about an hour ago.
Congratulations to the dev team!
I’ve been beta testing since day one - which was only 22 days ago. It’s amazing how great this app has gotten in such a short time.
I entered the TestFlight of Memmy, Mlem, Thunder and Liftoff!, and Memmy impressed me with the speed of development, stability, and feature addition. I love it.
Mlem is a close second, but it lacks QOL details that Memmy got right from the start. The other two are still at alpha level, but all of them are improving steadily.
The Fediverse, its ecosystem, and the passion developers and admins pour into it, it feels like an alternate Internet reality, but a better reality for a change.
I’ve also tried several betas and Memmy has been my personal favorite since nearly day one (first build didn’t have dark mode, haha, but like 12 hours later there was a second build with dark mode and I’ve been here ever since). And the devs are amazing.
This is an exciting time. I know the fediverse has been around for a while but it still feels like getting on the ground floor of something both brand new and also harkening back to the old internet. It’s awesome.
Hey, there’s a username I recognize. Beta tester since day one for me too. I agree, the growth this app has seen is incredible
Hey cod, yeah we’ve been pestering poor Gavin and Sean and Teflo and everyone else for weeks, but this is a huge milestone day!
Poor dev team, I’m convinced gk hasn’t had an hour of sleep in three weeks. Even on his supposed day off I don’t remember him being particularly inactive, the man is a machine I swear. I just checked TestFlight, the last 0.0.1 update was build 80, and we’re currently on 0.0.2.17 which is insane for 22 days of development. I hope they know their work is appreciated
