    That’s because Threads’ entire userbase is baked into an app that almost everyone already has. It says absolutely nothing about the quality or featureset of the app, much less scalability and actual use.

      From personal use, I can tell you that the featureset is just not there. You can’t even sort by followed accounts only, or get chronological updates. It’s a hot turd sandwich.

        Honestly, in the day and age, removing follows and chronological feeds sounds like an intentional move.

        Consume more algorithm. Curate less content.

        10 years ago YouTube was already fucking with subscriptions. We lost access to the History page on THREE separate occasions. I did not forget and it was just a sign of things to come. Every time I see anything come closer to resemble that kind of move, I always, always, assume wickedness rather than ineptitude.
