minus-square@CalcProgrammer1@lemmy.mllinkfedilink5•1 year agoI’d much rather pay a flat extra tax than have my personal charging habits monitored. I don’t need any more spies in my home trying to charge me based on my behaviors. I’d rather pay the flat fee and keep my privacy.
The issue with taxing public charging is you can just charge at home to avoid the tax. Also there are many public level 2 chargers that are free.
