    I would argue that our stubbornness regarding self sustainability was actually what caused our downfall.

    Paying him 600 for one season would be the equivalent of not signing two additional players, but gaining arguably one of the best two strikers in the world.

    It’s also worth noting that winning the league and champions league would put us in a position whereby we would actually struggle to exceed our income.

    I don’t think it will happen, but I’d definitely take him for year.

      It’s not just about financial sustainability. It’s the impact it has on structure and team togetherness. He has a known ego, and would likely need to be paid double or triple any of our other players to be convinced to come. If he doesn’t then perform to that level you think players like Saka will just sit around? We could afford to pay one player that much but we can’t afford to pay everyone that much.
