As more and more people are asking me about Mastodon I felt a need for a picture to point at, showcasing how the software known as Mastodon fits into the much larger concept of the Fediverse. I made this infographic to help myself and others explain the many different use-cases

    I really wish PeerTube would take off, but man video is such a pain to store, process, and deliver via streaming. Perhaps as technology evolves and get access to even better home servers.

    This is amazing. Some of these I had heard of, but had no idea they used ActivityPub. Some of these I hadn’t heard of, but am now looking into.

    (Edit: not sure Nextcloud belongs in music, but whatever. I know space is limited)

      Yeah not even sure NC should be on the list. I use it and love it but don’t see how it’s fediverse

        I was curious about that too, apparently Nextcloud has implemented Social which connects to ActivityPub
