I have no idea what this is about, but after reading a bunch of the comments, I’m really excited about it! Now I know how dogs feel when they don’t understand anything, but their people are all excited, so they’re excited too.
Sync for Reddit was a very popular 3rd party client for Reddit, as it had a lot of great features and an amazing design.
Now that 3rd party apps are gone, the dev is making a Lemmy version, and everybody is hyped up for when it comes out.
Niiiice can’t wait. When is it expected to release? Even beta or whatever.
Last eta he gave was 6 weeks and that was a week or two ago.

That’s where I’m making my temporary home too. But we all know it’s over once sync is out.
This is the experience I’ve been missing on lemmy. It’s so much more refined look than a lot of the “reddit+” feeling apps I’ve been using.

How’s memmy or wefwef?
Memmy is very good, I’ve been using it as my main. Thunder also looks promising, testing that out now. Wefwef is nice but has no compact view so I haven’t used it much. It’s impressive how well it works for being a web app, but I need a compact view to actually use it.
Voyager is the new name for wefwef. It has a compact view now.
Who would have thought, that Wefwef wouldn’t stick :D
I’m using Thunder for Android right now. Sync might eventually take over my Lemmy time, but Thunder is a seriously impressive Flutter app.

There has been a test flight version of Sync for Reddit for a while. I still have it on my account, but not sure how updated it really is vs Android.
So maybe iOS eventually does get Sync for Lemmy as well
