Those in the community that wear a collar (or ask that their partner(s) do) do you wear them in public and do you notice any recognition from others when you do?

I dont wear my playcollar in public, its leather with tiny spikes and would be too obvious for me.

But i do have a collection of collarlike necklaces, who go pretty with my day-to-day outfits and are way more subtle. I dont wear them all the time just when im in need of some extra support.

I would like to have an eternity collar or something like that with some sparkly shiny little stones.

Yes, when I’m out with my partner I have a preference to wear my collar.

I’ve never had anyone comment about it or actively noticed a second glance scenario.

I did have a staff member in hotel reception call me by my pet name instead of my actual name when they looked at it once…

That said wearing it more often than not over the past year has incurred a fair amount of wear and tear.

I recently picked up a couple of cute chokers to wear out and about instead though for casual use, with the collar explicitly for kinky events only.

Less risk to my collar, and still have the same secure feeling of the binding around my neck.

I struggle to see how wearing a collar is any worse than vanilla folks wearing a wedding ring in public. And I say this as someone who’s pretty vanilla. It’s a symbol of a relationship, how is that hurting or even involving others?

Personally I draw the line at leashes. But it depends what public means. In more adult spaces, especially somewhere like a club or a dance I see no problem at all. Collars are just sort of like chokers. They just look kinkier.

To be clear I don’t think people shouldn’t be allowed to use leashes anywhere or whatever, that’s just sort of where the personal line is for me. As in if someone asked me “Hey, should I leash up my sub while shopping” I’d say “probably not”. It’s not like I’d ask someone to please remove one if I saw them.

maybe you can elaborate. i too think wearing something like that is quite tame. and people who are not in to that kind of stuff, will not even notice. i certainly have not. people seem to be discreet.
