Johnson & Johnson sued the Biden administration over Medicare’s new powers to slash drug prices, making it the third pharmaceutical company to challenge the controversial provision of the Inflation Reduction Act.

President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, which passed in 2022 by a narrow party-line vote, empowered Medicare to negotiate drug prices for the first time in the program’s six-decade history.

The provision aims to make drugs more affordable for older Americans but will likely reduce pharmaceutical industry profits.

Can’t the government see that if they allow people to get life saving drugs for slightly less money, then the pharmaceutical CEOs will only be able to buy a 53-foot yacht before the next regatta? They’ll be laughing stocks! (/s just in case)

But seriously, fuck all corporate greed, but especially fuck corporations that keep people sick.

    • I’ve sued insurance companies and to hear some of those insurance defense lawyers talk about they race yachts for fun is nauseous. Like, my client is in the next room and will never work their shitty manual labor job. They sound sociopathic. Gold coast mf’rs. Probably delicious salted.

  • Fuck Johnson & Johnson. The US government should go after any board member, CEO, COO, or anyone else that knew about the tainted talcum powder.
