Southwest Airlines Flight 3695, en route to William P. Hobby Airport in Houston, encountered a safety scare on Sunday as its engine cowling, or cover, detached during takeoff.

    Boeing doesn’t make engines.

    Also, this is a nine-year-old plane. It has had at least one total tear down by Southwest.
