I mean, I guess they’re being cheeky, but way to hit someone while they’re down.

And this is why I’m never upgrading from the version they put on the end of the steam sale as a joke.

You know what I don’t need to budget for? Ynab

I use YNAB and I like the product a lot. But I really wish they would rethink their brand voice. “Cheeky” is not the tone I want from the tool where I’m entrusting all my private financial info.

I would switch to another service if they had one that pulled in my transactions. Also, charging an 80% markup for paying monthly is really a kick in the teeth to people that don’t have a hundred bucks lying around for their budgeting subscription.

Shout-out to my boy at budget with buckets

Unlimited, full access free trial, $60 one time purchase of and only if you decide it’s worth it for you. The developer is very clear that you should only pay for the software if meets your needs.

You can import your own transactions, set up macros to login to your banks, or sync via simplefinbridge for $15/year.

I would recommend starting off with the free trial and paying $1.50/month for simplefinbridge syncing for a while to see if you like it. It took me maybe half a year before I decided this was it for me. You can even import from ynab!

I will have to check this out. I have not heard of this product anywhere while looking for alternatives. Thank you!

I’m up for paying for shit that I use. I will give this a try, and if it works, I will gladly pay full price for it. Thank you for the suggestion.

Yep. Not as polished, but it doesn’t have to be to be functional.

I actually have better luck with the bank import than I did with YNAB. YNAB always broke with AmEx and my Fidelity card. With the SimpleFIN bridge ($1.50/month) linked to Buckets, I still have to visit the SimpleFIN website to give it a nudge every so often, but the nudge always works, as opposed to YNAB.

Ya, which is why after I tried nYNAB I switched back to the steam version of ynab4

Between that and the modified version of classic ynab4 android app I’m set for now.

Always were. These days I’m a big fan of Rocket Money.
