He’s a massive racist and homophobe, he’s done a lot of backstage politicking, especially in the WCW, to make sure that he and his friends get paid more and almost never lose, or at least practically never lose clean.

I am wondering this too. I remember him from when I was a kid in the 80s. But haven’t really given him much thought since.
