I like how Covid ending was just everyone collectively accepting that we can’t save ourselves from ourselves, so fuck it let’s get ice cream.

Yes, we have a vaccine. No the pandemic is not over yet. Bonus points: we still have an unhealthy large number of people refusing to get vaccinated.

I know this is semantics, but because most people are vaccinated and the virus isn’t spreading uncontrolled, it’s not an epidemic/pandemic any longer; it’s just endemic. You should still wash your hands and wear a mask if you’re sick or around sick people, but covid isn’t a daily problem for most people now.

Yea, just as many people (which is too many) saying “we’re still in a pandemic!!!_+$+$+#” as the deniers and freaking out like if we just put in a little more effort COVID would just go poof and disappear.

Like no, sorry to say but the pandemic is over. COVID is now endemic and we’re stuck with it forever, like the flu.

The real pandemic is the foolishness of people who go around spreading their cough everywhere and speak “herd immunity” when poked.

Personal hygiene shouldn’t go out the window the second a threat isn’t existential enough
