      No, but at work it’s someone else’s problem. I’m so glad that my employer agreed to replace my Windows machine with a Mac.

      yup. i’m tied to unreal engine 5.

      (yes, i know there’s a version for linux. i need to be on windows for the latest updates and work though.)

        Because work usually does provide the computer and they don’t want you to tamper with it too much.

          Just uninstall the OS. If you have physical access then must do what you need to do in order to be productive

            Usually the uefi is locked and secure boot is enabled. You could even boot a different OS if you wanted.

            You clearly have not worked at most larger companies which have Acceptable Use Policies (AUP) which typically involves not modifying the PC and OS with threat of termination when (not if) discovered.

        Because the software we write has to run on windows and only windows. No Linux or wine or any other platform. It’s a fixed requirement from our client and unfortunately I don’t see that changing.
