Except government does interfere with our media. Emily Matlis who worked for the BBC said as much when she quit there. There is extreme prejudice given to Tory media when it comes to TV coverage. This has lead to a cost with left bias media.

FPTP is objectively a shitty voting system, up to 49% of the people will go without representation.
I don’t know if that’s necessarily evidence of a decline in U.K. democracy, but it does still make the U.K. a flawed democracy.
