Been trying to get the most utility out of my keys for a while. It’s a bit bulkier than I’d like, but overall pretty happy with it!

From right to left:

  • Keysmart key organizer
  • Rovyvon A3 mini flashlight (this thing packs a punch!)
  • Leatherman Squirt PS4 (wish they still made these)
  • Civivi Tac-n-tweeze tweezers

No, they won’t. Somebody with a bad day will take it just to fuck with you. Happened to me with a blade that was not long enough to stab a hamster.

They let me keep it twice, one time I don’t even think they noticed it. Another time they opened it and said it’s alright.

But both times I just forgot to take it off my keychain and I probably got lucky. If I came across the wrong guy, I’m sure they would take it, so I try not to push my luck.

The squirt is my ideal keychain knife. It’s kinda like a cell phone camera. Sometimes it’s not about having the best knife. It’s about the knife you have with you not the one at home in the drawer.

Didn’t know they discontinued it. Strange decision.

if you ever have to swap out the squirt give the Gerber dime a try. I’ve bought 3 and they’re great.

Seconding the dime. Bought it when I had to replace the PS4 after airport security. Not quite as nice, but comparable, notably cheaper and still in production.

You’d think I’d have learned my lesson, but no… I lost the dime to airport security 2 years later 😑

Not convinced with Dime if you have had to already buy three ;)

I had that key organizer, loved it that you can expand in case you got more keys but they can get bulky quick. I gave it to someone who had more keys than mine since i wanted to try an offbrand (clone) since the keysmart started becoming mainstream brand.

Nothing wrong with mainstream, it’s a good product that does its job well.

Hmm what’s a good slim keychain lighter? Maybe just a ferro rod? Keychain already bulkier than I’d like!

it’s not like a zippo, you don’t need to refill every week. As an occasional or emergency lighter, refilling it twice a year keeps it functional for me.

i use essence f (white gas). Cheap and multipurpose

I bet that flashlight puts out a bit more light than my nano streamlight. I have the Leatherman Style PS, which has tweezers. Those tweezers look like overkill, do you use them for other purposes?

Have you considered the leatherman skeletool? It’s not quite as small as the squirt, but I actually think it is a lot more useful.

Are those tweezers too pointy? I seem to get better results with general purpose ones but I’ve never had a really nice one like yours.
