Rewatching Foundation season 1. Seems to make more sense the second time through.
Finally watched The Bear. It’s a good show but all the yelling and fighting was stressing me out. Not a show to relax to.
Agreed, but I like how frequently they find a way to communicate despite it.
The Righteous Gemstones Season 3. It’s still a fantastic time that blends a heavier dose of comedy up with some hints of Fargo crime and violence. If you’ve enjoyed previous seasons, I highly recommend this new one. For those that haven’t seen it, it’s the same Jody Hill/Danny McBride team known for Eastbound and Down and Vice Principals and brings that same tone while somehow going even further. The entire cast is so good at what they do it’s worth it just to see them interact with each other, though the story is also as intriguing as ever.
Captain Fall on Netflix. An animated comedy from the team that made Norsemen. It was a good time killer but didn’t reach the same laughs that their live action show would hit. Captain Fall was something of a mix of Archer and The Venture Bros. but rarely ever reached the high standards of either series. Still, there were some scenes that had me laughing out loud and overall it was a good pallet cleanser before watching something else. The voice cast has some big hitters with Jason Ritter (Dipper in Gravity Falls), Lesley-Ann Brandt (Mazikeen in Lucifer), Adam Devine (Workaholics, Pitch Perfect), and Flula Borg. If you want to give your brain a rest with an animated comedy before you start that new sci-fi series or psychological thriller, this might be worth checking out.
I’m not sure if that last episode was intended to the the series finale but if so I’ll call it a success. It was a great last episode.
Edit: I’m case it wasn’t clear I was talking about Righteous Gemstones.
Just started Six Feet Under a couple days ago. Love it so far.
I still consider it one of the great completed series of all time, one that delivers on a satisfying series finale that really makes the entire thing worth watching. Enjoy the show!
Finished Doom Patrol and Peacemaker, so now I’m watching Harley Quinn. And occasionally an episode of Jack Ryan since I finished Reacher and Terminal List. Probably start Warrior.
I think Peacemaker is peak James Gunn, everything hits just right and I’ve added so many of the songs from its soundtrack onto my workout playlist.
Harley Quinn is also a total bop and it’s so good to have it back with the new season just starting – it’s got that hint of Venture Bros. that’s so outrageously entertaining.
Hell yeah, too bad Peacenaker season 2 is so far away and final 6 episodes of Doom Patrol are shelved for now. Already near the end of season 3 of Harley Quinn. I can see the Venture Bros comparison. That was one of my fav shows.
Throwing it back a decade (and change) and rewatching Castle (I think I only watched up to season 4 before, so it’ll be like half a new show)! I forgot how much I missed the half-serious, half-fun writing of weekly episodes. It’s a nice break from the constant intensity of most popular shows nowadays.
Severance. I was very impressed by season 1.
Severance is my favorite show that I’ve watched in the past year or two, S1 was incredible
Getting caught up on I Think You Should Leave.
Miracle Workers! It’s an anthology series starring Daniel Radcliffe & Steve Buscemi and it’s enjoyable from start to finish - can’t believe I hadn’t known about it sooner!
I just finished all 8 seasons of Homeland on Hulu. It was good - worth watching IMO especially if you enjoy political dramas as I do. There were many twists and turns, some I disliked, most I liked.

I’m watching Suits. Made it to season 6:
spoiler
The prison storyline was interesting. Felt refreshing from the back and forth with Mike exposed then finding a way to cover it every time.
I’m watching Foundation season 2, which is just as visually stunning as season 1! I’ve also just finished re-watching Good Omens season 1. With only six episodes, that really doesn’t feel like very much of a project. But it’s been lots of years since this came out. I’m surprised by how much I forgot about this show, considering I’ve watched it once and read the book.
I’m also slowly rewatching the 2004 Battlestar Galactica. Still a great show!
I remember loving BSG. Maybe I should give it another watch.
Hellyeah BSG is great. I enjoyed Caprica too. It’s set about 60 years before BSG.
I’ll have to check out the other shows you mentioned.
