Anything good?

I’m hoping to get some time to play Return of the Obra Dinn if I could get any significant amount of time blocked off to game.

I’m starting to play subnautica for the first time! I’ve heard good things but I’m finding the start a little slow, the loop hasn’t quite got me invested yet.

Love return of the Obra Dinn. Hope you enjoy it!

Subnautica is one of my favorite games. I had to pause my playthrough though because I was so tense playing it, kept setting off my thalassophobia. They do an amazing job creating a feeling of isolation.

You’re in for a treat then! I never got around to finish it (Subnautica) though. Some parts are just so scary & isolating that I stopped playing, the devs did an amazing job at that! 🔥

I’m starting Factorio back up again, for better or worse… Just the other day I finally launched my first rocket! Feels good only took me 6.5 years of on and off play

@Subtex TotK if we’re being honest.

But before that I was *obsessed* with SpaceChem, and will likely return once I’m done romping through Hyrule making extremely simple machines that fail at their basic tasks.

My son just bought TotK and I’m home sing to play it, but I’m already midway through AC Odyssey and Horizon Call of the Mountain, so I need to finish those first.

Playing the Spider-Man Remake on PS5 now. Very cool game. Got it after playing Miles Morales.

Another replay of Shadow of the Colossus and also started Zelda 2 on NES. SOTC is always a favorite. Zelda 2 I’m a bit iffy on after really enjoying the original, but I’m still early. The stark change in style and gameplay direction threw me off in the beginning but I’m hoping to adjust.

Although, this week it’s been hard for me to find time to play anything.

Halfway through Dishonored 2 ATM and loving it - feels a bit slicker and more polished than the original which I also adored. The game had a lot of issues with motion sickness in the past which prevented me from experiencing it.

Is the game enjoyable without playing the first one? Got it for free on PlayStation+ a few weeks ago but didn’t want to miss on important details.

Difficult to say what it’d be like as a newcomer as I’m quite familiar with the world and characters.

The gameplay is slick as ever and I’d argue more fun than 1 but there’s not much of a tutorial at the beginning - a fair amount of assumed knowledge implied.

I’d say for the best experience, it’d still be best to play the first one as there’s plenty of throwback storywise. They’re very much married in that respect.

If your curious, the 1st one must be quite cheap these days and well worth it in my opinion.

I’ve been playing Warhammer on the Return of Reckoning server. It holds up pretty well for an older game, and the pvp is fun. I’ve also been playing a little Diablo 2 and 7 Days to Die, with a soupcon of Civ IV

I love RoR! I come back every few months to enjoy the nostalgia. Such a missed opportunity that game was :(

I’ve just started The Dig which I fell in love with immediately. I’ve taken a little 20 year hiatus on adventure games but have got back into them this year.

Being an old time-starved patient gamer, I very happily keep a walkthrough tab open for whenever I fancy it. Highly recommended if you want to experience some classic games to the end but skip the frustrations and wasted evenings.

Was probably my favorite game - let alone favorite adventure - when it came out. The music is fantastic, and so is the story. I remember some puzzles being a bit too goldbergian, but as you say, nothing that a walkthrough can’t alleviate.

    Devil May Cry 5

I really love the depth of the combat and the style it has. It’s like single player fighting game but with much more variety.

I’m currently trying to beat the game at the Dante Must Die difficulty level.

Around halfway through Mass Effect 3 and playing Helldivers here and there with a friend in local co-op. Can’t wait for Helldivers 2.

OpenRCT2. Finished the last of Wacky Worlds scenarios and the first Time Twister scenario last night. Continuing on the Time Twister scenarios tonight. Not quite speed running them but OpenRCT2’s speed-up feature is pretty helpful when I’m just waiting for research or to earn enough money to build something.
