I feel this in reverse sometimes. I’ll find a new (online) furry community, try to get involved, and then come to the realization that everyone there is half my age. It feels very awkward.

Thankfully I’ve never had anyone tell me this, but if they did, I’d probably point out that I’ve been in the furry fandom longer than they’ve been alive, and I’m not going anywhere!

My friend took some time to be convinced to go to a furry walk. He thought he was way too old to get along with anyone (we are both 30). I was glad he went anyway because he got to reconnect with old friends and other people he lost contact with .

I played Overwatch at a high elo and streamed and even just being around 27 at the time, it was like an entirely different world having to interact with the zoomers. They are just so damn fast. I could still outplay by not being a brainlet like kids can be but holy moly they are SO FAST

i peaked masters as a tracer one trick back in season 3 of ow1, but i didnt feel so estranged interacting with teens as a 18/19 year old. friends i made while i was in highschool were still in highschool, so it felt like w/e.

Im still fast but I’ll get older soon enough :<

Remember that the “too old for furry” discourse is just a few idiots. Let’s stop amplifying their idiocy. :)
