- I mean it sounds like they might try for one but labor is too poorly organized and coopted by the governed for it to actually work. - Anyone saying, “we need to push for a general strike!” in the United States is being an idealist. We need to build socialist parties and increase union density, particularly for radical unions. - I think that increasing union density is the key part. Unions are a place where people get to know each other, and learn to take coordinated political action that translates into stuff like worker parties. 
 
- To be honest, I’m skeptical. While the UAW has gotten better, and Shawn Fain was an improvement, the org is still not great. There’s a lot of functionaries still lurking around, doing business union things.
