    Looks promising actually. The issue is that they don’t yet know what they’ve made because it’s difficult to analyse due to it showing superconducting properties only at ridiculously high pressure but at room temperature. So now we can expect incremental progress in he coming years and we’re potentially looking at a super-efficient electricity tech in our lifetime.

    We have levitation videos, we have the paper saying theoretically this compound cannot just be a diamagnet, and now we have the first independent confirmation of superconductivity. It is not room temperature YET, but it is ambient pressure. Absolutely just a matter of time before someone creates a sample good enough to exhibit the same characteristics at room temperature.
