A warning: this is a damn good movie, but it hits HARD. It’s one of those movies that I’m glad I watched, but I’m not in a hurry to see again.
I’m not sure why someone put this up on youtube. Your right though, so good but jot for the faint of heart. A great film about shitty kids.
Because it’s generally considered one of the more rare movies that’s hard to find anywhere. It was on a list with other similar movies recently so someone probably decided to YouTube it.
I get that, but im torn about sharing problematic or vulgar art. I don’t want to police it’s existence but it needs to be shared responsibly
I always tell people if they haven’t seen it by now, they’re better off not seeing it.
i was wondering if anyone felt this way to justify the rating that it got when it was brand new.
for me; it was boring af because it was nothing new, different, or radical; it was merely the reality that kids experienced in the 1990’s and it’s rejection surprised me.
30 years later and we still somehow STILL somehow collectively believe that kids don’t live like this; i’m amazed.
I’m legit amazed that it’s there at all.
This is literally one of my sister’s favorite movies. I’m actually 7 years older than her and if I die having never seen it, I’ll die happy.
To be clear, I have no problem with my sister, I just have no desire whatsoever to watch this movie.
I tried to watch this movie a couple of times. I didn’t find a single character or aspect of it likable.
Tragic.
I caught a couple minutes of this once. But I’ve seen the movie “Bully” by the same director, and I think it’s the same sort of thing: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0242193/ (WARNING: the preview gives away most of the plot, it’s actually better to go in blind. and don’t watch it with your parents kek)
Good Lord. That trailer really does tell the whole story.
it doesn’t.
they took such HUGE liberties with reality that it feels more like a soap opera than the real thing.
The only thing I got from this movie was Folk Implosion.
