    That’s very sad. I wish someone would come along and revitalize the drive-in theatre experience. As we move away from ICE cars, there’s no reason why EVs can’t attend this experience. It just needs to be a bigger and better experience.

    Aw, that’s awful news. My kids are just getting old enough to be able to go and sit through a movie… Was looking forward to taking them. Maybe we can manage once before they close.

    Hard to find a big space that some corporate schmuck isn’t going to try and flip for a big development though.

    Really sad to hear. I have never been to one before. I guess I’ll have to see one soon then.

    I grew up in Smithers. We had one. But it was closed before I was born, always drove past it, the huge screen was back facing, in terrible condition for 10 years

    I’m not sure if the business model ever really works in a place where land is in demand. Drive-in movie theaters, like bowling alleys and drive thrus, are highly inefficient uses of space and only become profitable when things are far apart and land is cheap.
