That would actually be hilarous… “We are now re-using questions from season 1: For $100… ‘this popular TV comedian recently appeared in such films as Operation Mad Ball, Wake Me When It’s Over and Our Man in Havana.’”

Oh, I’m sorry, the answer is “Who is Ernie Kovacks. Ernie… Kovacks.”

… they can’t find someone to come up with trivia questions worded in reverse word order? That’s really not that hard.

    Ooh! They should use ChatGPT!

I mean, scab assholes can certainly cross that picket line to apply for positions as trivia question writers.

ChatGPT questions would have to be checked for accuracy. Getting ChatGPT to write trivia questions and screening them for accuracy is just writing trivia questions with extra steps.

I’d think Michael Davies would lose his shit if they ended up with a “the card says moops” situation on Jeopardy because somebody used ChatGPT and didn’t check its output for accuracy.

This is part of the reasons behind unions. Unions won’t work with companies that use non-union members usually. So they could probably find new (worse) writers but then they’d likely have a hard time getting the old writers back even after the strike. If it was as simple as just hiring new people, union strikes would never work.
