Can’t tell if sarcasm…but I do need a numpad, yes. I could actually do without the top numbers instead (but leave em all there regardless!) :D

I was talking about me. No sarcasm here. I need a keypad for work. I enter long numbers all day long and my left hand is needed to tab to right places so it can be input.

What you really need is a small keypad with a tab key [in a useful spot]. I don’t think anyone makes that, but it sounds like what you need. One nice thing about DIY - you can choose the layout and keys that make sense for your workflow.

Remember there is no rule the says you only need one keyboard, or even that the keyboards have to be connected to the same window (I actually had it working once where I had two keyboards that went to different windows - but it was tricky to setup and not everything worked - in the end I didn’t find it useful but YMMV)

You really probably don’t. Just learn to type on the number row the same way you type your other keys.

Yeah, that doesn’t work. I need my left hand to tab to right places and right hand to enter long digit strings on a keypad. Pad 100% necessary for good output rate.

On the chance you’re not aware, they do make a pretty cool little matching numpad. It’s not quite as nice as having a full size keyboard (I wish they docked together with magnets or something), but for just over a hundred bucks all in, it’s a decent compromise.

*ETA: I was basing the “just over a hundred bucks” on the keyboard having been $60 on woot for the longest time, but looks like they are sold out :(

Thank you, I did not know that. I will have a look at that, maybe it’ll be a good compromise for me, as you said. :)
