      Yes, you can say so. It is a kernel level setting for AMD CPU systems and will soon be enabled by default so users don’t need to do amything to take its benefit.

        It’s likely to increase performance by running the CPU cooler when idle and better mapping thermal behavior to performace, so it’s an improvement for things like the steam deck or gaming as well.

    What kernel version will this make it into? This is great news for the upcoming AMD Framework laptop.

      As stated in the article, it can be picked up in 6.5 if it is ready or later if there are changes needed.

    I own a Legion 5 (2020) with Ryzen 4800H. If i get Ubuntu installed again, how would the results be for me? Upcoming LTS version.

      Afaik Ubuntu follows a different vereioning scheme for kernels, so I am not sure when you will get 6.5 or 6.6 patches.
