Here’s a link to one of my favorite math news websites. It’s always interesting (to me, at least) to see how sometimes even niche or obscure parts of math end up being applied to solve problems in ways I likely never would have dreamed up myself.

In particular, SIAM Unwrapped is their monthly newsletter with little blurbs from a selection of topics that recently occurred. They host plenty conferences every year, all over the globe. For anyone interested, you don’t have be a member to join, but each one has individual fees.

Unfortunately, from what I’ve seen, the SIAM journal itself requires either paid access or a membership subscription to view their articles. I’m not a member myself, but I do enjoy reading their news articles every now and then.


Aside from AMS, does anyone have recommendations for other academic sources of math news they enjoy keeping touch with?
