I think that I have watered it way too much over the last few months and that it got some kind of root rot. It started dying off from the bottom like 2 weeks ago. Today it broke off in the middle.
Does anyone have any idea how to save my little green friend? Or is it too late?
Looks ready for planting. I think you can probably just take that part in your hand and stick it in some fresh fast draining soils and it will prob re-root in a few weeks.
Can’t say for certain but it looks like typical overwatering is what caused the fungus/ dieback issue.
Yes id even pluck some of the lower leaves off for more pups, and so you have a “stem” to put in soil ( ive had great sucess with

Also replaced the soil that it came in from the supermarket (which definitely was not ideal and quite slow draining) with some cactus stone soil stuff.
Should I just water it normally (and yes, definitely a bit less than before :D)? Or do anything special until it roots?

No, don’t water it for a while - if you do, it may rot! It’s got enough nutrients left in the leaves and stem to subsist for quite a while while it roots.
You’re good! Succulents are easy to propagate from stems, just leave it out of the soil and direct sunlight long enough for the wound on the stem to callus over (2-3 days after cutting, already done in your case), then plant it in dry soil and wait a couple of weeks for new roots to start growing before watering. Some of the lower leaves may shrivel and drop off, but the rest of the plant will be fine once the stem grows new roots.
That leaf that fell off might be viable still as well, just let the wound callus over before planting it in the soil.
