Guel taking the best L ever like a man
Man, I love the sound engineering in this show. The noise Aerial made when she recognized Suletta made me feel things.
And speaking of making me feel things, Suletta and Miorine finally reunite! I was kinda hoping for a kiss, but what we got was still really sweet and felt more in line with where the characters are at right now.
Also: Goddammit, Lauda, you stupid bastard… I feel like that plot thread exists mainly to give Guel a reason to fight during the finale.
Things are definitely feeling a bit rushed close to the end, but there’s still plenty to love. I’m hoping the show sticks the landing.
quiet zero looks like something out of homeworld, except less colorful i guess.
a swordfight in a gundam series and a character is wearing all red and another all white, don’t think i’ve ever seen that before… never ever… (suppose it also kinda does double duty and makes the utena ties more explicit).
i guess the turn on the series’s phrase “even if there’s nothing to gain, i have to move forward” makes suletta’s character growth blatantly obvious if somehow anybody missed it (there’s also suletta thanking belmeria for letting her do things out of her volition).
hey, the lagrange naming of large habitations are back from other gundam series. the orchestral dropin when suletta began her attack with caliburn kinda reminded me of those sawano moments in unicorn.
The variation on the main theme that plays during Suletta’s charge on Quiet Zero goes hard.
Ok so where does the Gundam Calibarn come from? Mom seems to know about it… Was it mentioned in previous episodes?
It was mentioned as being a Pre-Lfrith prototype from the Vanadis Institute. So one of the very first gundams that Elnora and crew worked on.
Seeing depressed Miorine without any uniforms, it just hits you she is just a kid. A kusogaki who is just slightly more well-informed than everyone else.
Lauda pls (2)
Calibarn is a neat design. I still have mixed feelings about this show, I love the mobile suits and the character designs but the world-building has been lacking. They’ve barely explained what Permet is even though it’s central to the plot. Why would flying a suit without permet be like driving a car blind? Nobody elaborates, and for some reason Chuchu is totally fine with it which completely undercuts its importance. Is she going to be just fine when her demi barding deplots with that antique cockpit?
