Linus Media Group CEO Terren Tong also responded via email, saying he was “shocked at the allegations and the company described” in Reeve’s posts. He went on to note that “as part of this process, beyond an internal review we will also be hiring an outside investigator to look into the allegations and will commit to publish the findings and implementing any corrective actions that may arise because of this.”

      I make jokes and have fun at work every day. Guess what else? No one is making jokes that could be construed negatively. If the only way you know how to make humor is by potentially hurting someone, then those workplace integrity classes are meant specifically for you.

        Some people don’t understand that nowadays it is accepted that it is up to the recipient to determine what is offensive to them and what’s not. No matter what the intention is.

        Sure, you can try to explain your intention to smooth things out, but don’t use that as an excuse to repeat the offense in case it doesn’t work out. Sometimes, it just doesn’t, and that’s fine.
