After searching if you paste the link in your browser it takes you to it where you can then interact
Searching with url wont show the community in search at all but searching with the format !lemmyfederation@lemmy.ml will

Oops, good catch, that was causing the problem.
Your instance is able to subscribe, but I’m failing on some other instances remote to lemmy.ml
Actually the communities show up in the search results, but only after some time (10-20 seconds). At least for me.
