Starting today, the Obsidian Commercial license is optional. Anyone can use Obsidian for work, for free. Explore organizations that support Obsidian on our new Enterprise page.

What about cloud syncing ? I have been using Jopln more and more

  There is still an optional payment for cloud sync, but you can setup syncing yourself via Git plugins or Syncthing
