I tend to rely on City Planner Plays, and then Biffa, for hands-on explanations or analysis.
There has to be other sources of solid content - what is your preferred source of information?
I may give the dev diaries a read-through today, but I strongly suspect the content creators have already done a credible job of surfacing the bits that matter.
For information about cs2 I just watch the dev diary. I don’t find any value in watching content creators guess what the update may contain.
Yeah, I’d rather watch a 3-minute video and read a brief blog post than watch a 30+ minute video. I love CS and the community, but most of the big CS youtubers make really loooong, bloated-feeling content, imo. I’m sure there’s something that others are getting out of their videos (after all, they get lots of reliable views), but it’s not really for me.
Overcharged Egg
City Planner Plays is probably the best for extracting and analyzing information that isn’t explicitly stated by the devs. Raptor would be my second choice, but he and Biffa are pretty similar in terms of quality, the difference being Biffa has a lot of specialized Skylines content, but on the news front, they’re pretty similar. I watch & read all the developer’s content and I’ve been mostly sticking to City Planner Plays for analysis.
That’s been my read of things. The freeze frame, the analysis, the reasoning around what’s likely… there’s a head on his shoulders.
Makes me want more, but there’s only so much content per week.
Overcharged Egg is my favorite content creator. Not only are his cities beautiful to look at, he also manages to express his excitement for every little thing in his city in a believable manner.
I usually get info from biffa, but for the modding dev diary’s biffa didn’t make vids so I just read the dev diary from paradox.
