I watched this Tasting History video the other day, where he talked about how post-Civil-War to Depression-era hobos had conventions and secret writing systems and lived together in “jungles” and all sorts of organized stuff like that. Is that still a thing, and do you participate in it?

Not really. If it is then I haven’t seen it.
