In fairness, this is a pretty unique situation. How many other times have you seen ex-president mugshots?

That’s actually what annoys me the most. That stupid fucking face is going to be a famous image. It’ll be in text books for decades.

Not if you’re in “Some Blacks benefited from slavery” Florida 😭

I doubt a president getting arrested is that big of a history compared to abolishing slavery or a war.

It will be a footnote, or a quiz question for sure. But nothing more.

No pictures of that were in any textbooks I had. Things that paint the US in a negative light tend to be glossed over in US schools - at least, they were when I was in it ages ago. Can’t imagine that’s changed much.

Bruh, I’m pretty sure your textbooks covered Watergate, assuming you went to school after it.

Now, maybe your school and/or teacher sucked and tried to cram it into their one hour coverage of Vietnam, but it was in there, I promise.

(Unless you went to a religious school, then I’ll believe any claim you make but note that it isn’t typical)

I said that picture wasn’t in there, and “glossed over” doesn’t mean there was no negativity at all. Yes, Watergate was mentioned.
