These people really don’t understand what a “nazi” or “nazi sympathiser” are. To them it is just the Bad Word. The Bad thing. The Worst Thing a Person Can Possibly Be. So they look at completely unrelated metrics, lik being pro animal rights or LGBTQ rights, and conclude that they “can’t be a nazi sympathiser” because to them, a nazi sympathiser has obvious tells, the camera always looks up at them from a low angle shot and dramatic music plays to clearly indicate their “Bad Guy” status.

It’s absurd, it’s like asking if someone is a mechanic, and they just list off a bunch of unrelated bullshit “He swam a lot in highschool” “His favourite food is Chow Mien” “He volunteers with the homeless sometimes.” Yeah but, none of these answer the actual question at hand. It doesn’t matter how good the “other stuff” a person does is, to determine whether they are a nazi sympathiser, we check to see if they actively sympathise with nazis.

But then, if liberals actually examined that and considered it, they would be forced to realise that they are also nazi sympathisers, because that is where their “enlightened centrism” invariably leads people. And that’s a bad thing, so they must never think about it.
