Edit is a new open source command line text editor from Microsoft that supports Windows, macOS and Linux. Learn what it can do, and how to try it on Ubuntu.
your muscle memory might like the fact Edit shares many of the latter’s keybindings. This could make it easier to slot in to your workflow compared to vim or nano (though I stress it’s not a replacement for either of those).
I have no experience with vim, only deep fear. But tell me how this new edit could not be a replacement for nano? I use nano a lot and it’s quite simple?
That’s why I learned nano in 1993 and never grew from there.
