    The UK government’s response to the petition is an extremely long winded way of entirely missing the point surely? The main thing is offline games which should theoretically work indefinitely assuming the hardware and operating system is the same.

    Although it does make me wish we could go back to self hosting fps servers, those were the days…

      I’ll attempt to echo Ross Scott:

      The approximate end goal of the Stop Killing Games intiative is to:

      • prevent publishers from killing games where consumers/gamers were not informed briefed that what they paid for was a live service game.
      • and/or have the live service game in any manner of a playable state when they decide to pull the plug.

      As to how the UK’s government will respond will be up to them.

      Will they come in clutch for Divers, UK consumers, and fellow gamers? or will they fumble the ball?

      • It’s up to them to decide how they should act.
