I keep hearing this narrative, and feel uneasy about the rhetorical impact. I want all glory for the martyrs who went up against one of the world’s most highly regarded armies (not that they deserve the reputation) and beat them for a day. Saying “we let you win” feels like taking something away from them. At the same time, it would be pretty fucking gross if isntreal did this, and might help a few more people understand that the genocide was happening before Oct 7.
