It was beautiful and extremely difficult. Easily the most challenging backpacking trip I’ve been on.
Each day was 6k+ feet of climbing, and we were above 9k feet elevation the whole time. Got caught in a lightning storm, got caught in a hail storm on the last day. Some real “type 2 fun” for sure.

This sounds just as bad as a bear encounter. I sure would’ve died. Good that you got home safely!
