I still playing Trails into Reverie, i’m rather at the end of it. It’s good, feels like a game to present every Act 1 char again, but Trails of Cold Stell3&4 and Trails to Azure are both better in my opinion. My next game will be, i’m not sure yet. Maybe a short game like Eternights or i finish an unfinished game like Octopath Traveler II.

I’m in the coda of Reverie. I rolled the credits some time ago, but the story, dungeons, and challenges just keep showing up. I’m approaching level 180 now and still have a lot to do.

I purchased Daybreak a few hours ago because it’s getting to be about time to have the next game ready and it’s 30% off on PSN.

I was assuming some kind of endgame. It’s kind of a playground of these 40+ chars

I think I’m reaching the end of the Coda’s plot, and I assume it might have something to do with what goes on in Horizon, so I feel a bit obligated to push through it to see what the end beholds. There are tons of unlockables, side stories, challenges, and dialogues to be had between everyone in the meantime.

I’m still not sure which one I will be continuing. I’m betting on Octopath Traveler 2 though.

Probably not if you are strict, but this post is just a post to talk with each other. As long as you want to share something that has some kind of connection with jrpgs, please do it

I’ve been working through Baten Kaitos, I just passed the half-way point, I think.

The game starts out with almost infinite promise, as there are so many weird sub systems coming together in its card based battle system. However, by now, there are some cracks showing.

You can play more and more cards per turn, with less and less time out of an ever increasing card pool. You basically don’t have time to think about stuff like crafting - which is totally a thing during combat by playing certain combos - and can’t afford to play useless cards. Well, you could, but battles are slow enough already with decks focused on damage.

This month, I’ve likely got a bit more time on my hands and will finish the game, work through a few demos I collected and then continue on to Baten Kaitos Origin. Assuming I’m not burned out on the series.

Finished Fire Emblem 9 & 10, Ike’s games (Tellius), and I really do see why people hype those games so much. I loved the cast and PoR is honestly a perfect game. RD was a little less enjoyable, but my only true complain for these games is the support system. I was spoiled being raised with Awakening and 3H as my first two FE games, so the realization I couldn’t be friends with everyone killed me. I really hated that RD essentially forces you to port over your bonds because that support system was fucking dogwater and I didn’t even bother with it. I also couldn’t port as I played these games on my hacked Wii U 😅 But characters and story was great.

Busy now, so idk if I’ll do anything, but maybe I’ll start SMT Nocturne soon.

I liked RD a bit more that PoR. But i see both a bit like flawed game, but very good. I don’t remember the support system much, but my complain would be some maps i don’t like much, but others excell. And the horrible slow animation. I think the immersion, so the combination of story and map design of those game is very good. A lot maps make sense how they are build in that point of the story.

Trying to get through all the MOTHER games, starting with the first. I’ve gotten halfway through 2 and 3 before but never finished. Playing with a ROM hack to speed things up, but regardless, the first has a lot of charm. I can see how others would view it as a prototype for 2, however.
