    There is a lot to find fault with in that statement, but the one bit that nobody seems to pick up on is that those gun rights are granted by the men who wrote (and ammended) the US constitution, not by any deity.

      Because it’s not saying that? It’s saying (paraphrasing) “… so that we can have our man given rights to protect our god given rights”. Not that god was providing the 2nd amendment.
